History

KLINIPATH was founded on 1 April 1984 by Henk Faber Sr. The name KLINIPATH is a combination of the Dutch words klinisch (clinical) and pathologie (pathology). Initially, clinical chemistry was the company's main speciality (urine diagnostics etc.) After some time, the product range was extended and a variety of other disciplines and products were added. The range of immunology and cytology products was further extended, meaning that clinical chemistry was no longer the predominant discipline.

Over the years, in addition to in-house manufacturing of equipment, chemicals and plastic disposables, the company has also obtained numerous exclusive contracts with internationally renowned firms. The amount of investment in the development and production of disposable products and equipment has grown continuously since the company's inception. KLINIPATH currently boasts an extremely broad range of products, many of which are developed and manufactured by the company itself.

Further extension of the product range has ensured that KLINIPATH is one of the most prominent suppliers of chemicals for anatomical pathology laboratories and of pathology/histology laboratory equipment in general.

Both the product range and the company itself have undergone extensive evolution. As the range of products/services has grown over the years, so too has the number of specialists employed by KLINIPATH. The company employs a wonderful team, each member of which is an expert in his/her specialist field. The company's growth continues unabated to this day.

The KLINIPATH Group consists of numerous different operating companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, each of which has its own location(s) and medical speciality. Internationally, KLINIPATH is represented by a large number of companies which specialise in the medical sector.
